Why nutritional therapy?

I believe that Nutritional Therapy is the perfect union of evidence-based science and person-centred holistic care. Through a thorough holistic assessment, Nutritional Therapy attempts to truly understand the root cause of presenting conditions or symptoms that your body is manifesting. They are often seemingly unrelated, like fatigue and insomnia may be rooted in hormonal imbalances, or skin disorders in undiagnosed gut infections.

I use a naturopathic approach to decode the messages your body is sending and create an individual nutrition and lifestyle plan based on my findings. What works for you might not work for someone else, as we are all unique. For some, a few small changes can achieve visible results, for others it may be the peeling away of layer after layer that is needed to identify the real problem.

how it works

Nutritional Therapy works best when you are ready to take charge of your healing. Following a detailed assessment, I will provide you with all the tools you need to begin your journey. The changes you make need to be sustainable, so starting small and building up is usually the key. As such, you do not need to dramatically alter your cooking habits, diet and lifestyle immediately.

On occasion, I need to work with other practitioners to help you move forward. For example, I may ask your GP to carry out certain blood work and investigations, or I may suggest you seek additional help from an osteopath, acupuncturist or psychotherapist.

There is no ‘one size fits all’, so it is important that you receive the right support tailored to you. With a bit of patience, perseverance and compassion, we will begin to see a real difference, and you will begin to reclaim your health and well-being.

Our sessions will take place on Zoom or over the phone.
